What data we process
Album owner (host): email address, first name and surname, order and payment records; for issuing the e-Arşiv invoice, the billing address (province, district, address), optionally the Turkish ID number, and for purchases on behalf of a company, the company name, tax number and tax office. For the security of the account, the time, IP address and device/browser information of every sign-in to the panel and of every change made in it (such as deleting a memory, renewing the QR code or changing a setting).
Guests: the photos, videos, voice recordings and written messages they upload, the display name they optionally enter, device and session information, IP address.
Guest list: if they wish, album owners can upload their guests' names and phone numbers. These data are processed only on the album owner's instructions; for details see The guest list uploaded by the album owner below.
Card details are never seen or stored by us. Payment is taken on the payment service provider's own secure page.
Purposes and legal grounds
- Creating the album and the invitation, signing in to your account, taking the order and providing the service — the conclusion and performance of a contract (KVKK art. 5/2-c).
- Issuing invoices, keeping commercial books and tax records, responding to requests from competent authorities — legal obligation (art. 5/2-ç).
- Security of the account and the service through sign-in and activity records, prevention of misuse — legitimate interest (art. 5/2-f); examining complaints and disputes — establishing, exercising or protecting a right (art. 5/2-e).
- Keeping and sharing in the album the photos, videos, voice recordings and written messages uploaded by guests — explicit consent obtained separately at upload (art. 5/1).
- Optional analytics and marketing measurement — explicit consent given on the cookie preferences screen (art. 5/1).
Data are collected electronically through our website, the album and invitation pages and the panel, from the information you enter and from the records created automatically while the service is used (session, IP address, device information).
Retention period
Photos and videos are kept for 3 months after the event by default and are permanently deleted when the period ends. If a storage extension has been bought, the period is extended accordingly.
The album owner can also permanently delete a single memory before the period ends. The memory is then removed from the album, the wedding screen and the archive at the same time; the file itself is completely deleted from our servers 24 hours later. Those 24 hours exist so that a deletion made by mistake can be undone; once they have passed the file cannot be brought back.
Order, payment and invoice records are kept for 10 years as required by Turkish tax and commercial law. These records are not affected by a deletion request.
Panel sign-in and activity records, guests' upload records (which memory was uploaded from which IP address and device) and records of requests made to our site (IP address, time, page requested) are kept for 400 days and deleted when that period ends; the record remains for that period even if the memory itself is deleted. These records are for detecting whether the account has been used without permission, keeping the service secure, examining a complaint or dispute and being able to respond to requests from competent authorities (KVKK art. 5/2-ç, e and f). The album owner can see their own sign-in records and the activity in their album on the Settings screen of their panel.
Who can access the memories
The photos, videos and sounds uploaded by guests are not shared through public links. Files are served only to browsers with access to that album: guests who have scanned the QR code, the wedding screen link created by the album owner, and the album owner themselves. If a link is copied and opened outside the album, the file cannot be viewed.
When the album owner hides or deletes a memory, access ends at the same time. Because of technical caching, access may remain possible for a short time (at most one hour); for this reason the cache is also cleared separately when memories are deleted or hidden.
Exception: when a digital invitation is published, the cover image used on the invitation can be viewed by anyone with the invitation link. The invitation page is public by its nature; the memories uploaded by guests do not appear on it.
The guest list uploaded by the album owner
Album owners using the digital invitation can upload their guests' names and phone numbers to keep track of who has replied. We do not create this list and we do not decide what is in it.
For these data the album owner is the data controller; we are only the data processor, acting on their instructions. The album owner who uploads the list is obliged to inform their guests about it and to have the necessary legal ground.
We use the list for two things only: counting the guests who have and have not replied, and showing the album owner who to send a reminder to. We do not send the reminder message; the album owner sends it from their own WhatsApp app, with their own account. We do not use the phone numbers for marketing, do not sell them to third parties and do not use them in any other album.
The list is deleted together with the album it belongs to: the album owner can remove it from their panel at any time or replace it entirely by uploading a new one, the list is deleted when the invitation data are deleted, and it is permanently deleted together with all other data when the album's retention period ends. If you are on a list and want your number deleted, you can contact the album owner who invited you or the email address above.
Where data are stored, and transfers abroad
Photos, videos, voice recordings and written messages, and the service's database, are hosted on servers in Türkiye. The content guests share is not transferred abroad.
Payments are taken through a payment service provider; your card details do not reach us. Where the provider is located abroad, the information needed for payment (name, email, billing details) is transferred abroad.
If you give analytics or marketing consent on the cookie preferences screen, the measurement data listed under “Cookies” below are transferred to Google and Meta, whose servers are abroad. If you do not consent, no such transfer is made.
Parties we share data with
- Payment service provider — to take the payment.
- Hosting and storage provider (Türkiye) — to provide the service.
- Email delivery service — to deliver sign-in codes and notification emails.
- Revenue Administration (Gelir İdaresi Başkanlığı) — your billing details, to issue the e-Arşiv invoice.
- Google and Meta — only if you have consented, to measure site use and advertising conversions.
- Competent public authorities — where the law requires.
Your rights
Under KVKK art. 11 you have the right to learn whether your data are processed, to request information, to ask for them to be corrected or deleted, to object to the processing and to claim compensation for any damage. You can send your requests to the email address above.
The album owner can delete the album and all the memories in it from their panel before the period ends; permanently deleting a single memory is also possible. If you want a memory of yours removed, you can contact the album owner or the email address above.
If you appear in an album: even if you did not upload the memory, you can ask for a photo, video or sound showing you to be removed (KVKK art. 11/1-e). Send your request to the album owner or to the email address above, saying which album and which memory it is. The power to hide and delete memories lies with the album owner; we forward the request we receive to the album owner and answer your application free of charge within 30 days at the latest (KVKK art. 13). The person who uploaded the content is responsible for it.
Cookies
We use cookies and similar technologies that are necessary for the service to work; these do not require consent. Third-party analytics and marketing cookies are used only if you consent on the cookie preferences screen (see below).
- mic_guest — recognises the guest session, so that what you share is recorded as yours.
- mic_media — makes sure photos and videos are served only to browsers with access to that album. If this cookie is blocked, memories cannot be viewed.
Visit statistics. To see which pages are opened and how often on our promotional pages and in the event creation steps, we use a cookie-free counting tool (Umami) running on our own server. It stores nothing in your browser and does not record your IP address; only aggregate information such as the page address, the site you came from, browser and device type, country and city is kept. Extra information in the page address is dropped; only the campaign tags that show which promotion a link came from (e.g. utm_source) are kept. It is not used in the guest album, on invitation pages or in the panel. If “Do Not Track” is on in your browser, no count is made.
Optional analytics and marketing. If you consent on the cookie preferences screen, we may measure the steps in the promotional, creation and payment flow with Google Analytics, and advertising conversions with Meta. Without marketing consent, advertising tags are not loaded. Campaign codes, browser identifiers, the order identifier, the product type and the payment amount may be used; invitation text, guest names, contact details and photo, video or voice content are not sent to these services. Campaign information is linked to the purchase record. You can change your preferences with the “Cookie preferences” button on the promotional screens. The attribution record in the browser is kept for at most 90 days. Google and Meta are third-party services and process this information under their own privacy policies.
